Abel Fly Reel - You Can’t Beat This Quality And Level Of Innovation

June 22nd, 2008 by donnashuman

By Mike Singh When buying fishing equipment for your fly fishing ventures, few can argue about the true quality and appeal of the Abel fly reel. This brand, introduced to the market by Steve Abel and Mel Krieger, offers their customers with so many wonderful aspects to this fine reel. What stands out among the most notable features with the brand’s reel is the amount of options you have. The options that this reel gives you make for greater inter-changeability and usefulness. Many of the fly reel products are swappable, and meet all of the standard fittings from one fly rod to the next. For example, if you happen to have a fly rod from Abel, and wish to switch reels from the Large Arbor Super Series to the Big Game Series reel, you can easily do so. In fact, it will only be a quick switch. There are many different styles of reel available today, ranging from matte non-reflective finish to the elegant black high gloss coral. If you happen to be a little more distinctive in your style choices, this reel also comes in platinum, gold or specialty anodized finishes as well. A truly great feature of this reel is the innovative arm. This arm moves the center of gravity slightly off the reel seat for a more balanced feel. With the fly reel and its arm engaged, you would notice a considerable amount of stress reduction and a better level of comfort. The new arm is a wonderful addition to any fly fishing setup and will allow for a more relaxed cast and reel-in movement. The arm and the fly reel combo are very light and durable, making the rod an easier tool to maneuver and carry around. It does not matter if you happen to be left handed or right handed with the Abel fly reel, as it is completely convertible to accommodate both styles for all fishermen. When you face the situation where you are a left-handed cast, and the reel is set to right hand all have to do is flip the reel around and you are set to go. You can be sure you are buying quality when you buy an Abel reel. Look for a reputable dealer near you and see why people are raving about this product. Abel and the fine products that they produce are sure to fill all of your fly fishing needs, and will always do it in style. Preventing Fundraiser Burnout

June 15th, 2008 by donnashuman

By Michelle Pearson Since many schools and other organizations today find themselves suffering from a chronic state of under-funding, they are increasingly forced to hold multiple fundraisers through the course of the year. Unfortunately, this can lead to a complete fundraiser burnout for many customers as well as for fundraising salespeople. So the critical question is: how do you maintain real interest on the part of customers so as to keep support for your group strong, and how do you keep your salespeople from flagging, losing energy and interest in raising money for your organization? Although there are many potential solutions, here are just a few examples to get started with. In order to keep customer interest high, and as a way of maintaining goodwill, sell different products during each fundraiser throughout the year. Theres nothing wrong with repeating a successful fundraiser, but once a year is probably more than enough even an extremely popular fundraising option can quickly lead to customer burnout if its repeated too frequently. As a matter of maintaining customer goodwill, offer useful products and services in your fundraisers everyone loves cookies and chocolates, but there comes a point where customers will only be buying them to support the organization; some will just quit buying them at all. If you find a way to provide goods or services that supporters of the organization already want, then they are able to support your organization by buying something that they might have somewhere else anyway a win-win situation. As a corollary of this, be sure not to have too many fundraisers youre better off with a few wildly successful ones than a dozen mediocre fundraising programs customers will buy more readily when theyre asked to buy less often, and salespeople can stay excited if theyre not asked to sell constantly. To keep your salespeople excited, offer creative incentives to encourage them to compete with one another. Depending on your organization, the chance to throw pies at a principal or dunk some other authority figure could go over very well. Also, make the connection obvious show your salespeople the benefits that the organization will see from fundraising and by extension the benefits that they themselves will see. There are many other ways to keep fundraising fun and ensure that your customers and salespeople stay interested just make sure to use common sense and think positively and creatively - your organization is bound to be successful! Basics Of The Perricone Diet

May 29th, 2008 by donnashuman

By Tania Penwell The focus of the Perricone diet, i.e. the diet plan set by renowned dermatologist Dr. Nicholas Perricone, is on looking younger and increasing longevity rather than on bringing about weight loss. These are a host of benefits that such diet plan provides. Here are the commonly observed gains reaped by resorting to the diet plan-Decreasing of inflammation in all organ systems of the body.Improving body metabolism.Improving the heart condition and making it resistant to diseases.Improving bone density.Bringing about a rejuvenation of the immune system.Decreasing the risk of cancer.Helping in repairing the skin.Helping to bring weight loss. These are significant health benefits indeed and these account for the popularity of the diet plan the world over. People following it have been acclaiming the Perricone diet plan and have been recommending it to others too. The Perricone diet plan basics The Perricone diet is set based on Dr. Nicholas Perricones Inflammation Theory of Aging that points out that the food that is eaten by us leads to inflammations being caused and it is this inflammation that leads to aging. Just as in case of other fad diets there is a villain in case of Perricone diet too. The villain or culprit that is to be dealt with/combated by the Perricone diet is inflammation. Inflammations or the swellings are the causative factors of wrinkles, acne and other skin problems. These are the causes of a number of other medical problems too. The root cause of the inflammations or swellings lies in taking in the wrong foods. It is the bad or wrong choices of foods that are directly responsible for the wrinkles, degenerative diseases etc. as also of the hastening of the aging process. According to Dr. Nicholas Perricone, by adhering to the diet schedule as set by him- following his diet and regimen of supplements and lotions the process of aging can actually be reversed. The Perricone diet assures to make anyone look younger within a time period of even just three days. It must be remembered that the Perricone diet is a costly diet and requires strict adherence. The diet classifies inflammatory foods as the ones that include high carbohydrate and high glycerin items. Bread, pasta and sugar or sugar containing foods are some common inflammatory foods. As per the diet plan such foods ought to be totally excluded from the diet for a continuous period of 28 days and in their place anti inflammatory food items like salmon, avocado, berries etc. are to be taken in. This will ensure better health and will benefit the skin too. So, a healthier and more attractive body and skin is what is achieved by having recourse to the Perricone diet. Some Perricone diet suggestions seem sensible and rest on accepted scientific bases while others may seem not explanatory enough. However, though the diet is unproven to a large extent yet its benefits being apparent qualifies it as a worthy diet plan to follow. ***You may use this article on your website as long as the two URLs are hyperlinked. Treachery in the Midst of the Land

May 17th, 2008 by donnashuman

By Marilynn Dawson The term Scripture uses to describe the activities of those who attempt to sell-out Israel comes to mind. “Treacherous!” Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being underhanded, deceptive, manipulative, and threatening. In other words, “treacherous” against his own citizens and Land! He is giving-in to the Palestinian’ demands, and is turning Israeli Land over to the enemies of G_d and of Israel. Daily, we hear of incriminating information as to how the Disengagement Plan came about, and the terrible manner in which it is to be implemented. Daily, and now hourly, innocent people are being threatened with arrests, incarceration, intimidation; and under the latest directive issued from Sharon, “whatever it takes,” which could include violence, and possibly civil war. And, his stance is against innocent men, women, and children, descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who love the Torah, have faith in the L_RD, and love the Land. Treachery! The prophet Isaiah speaks the Word of the L_RD for this very time! Isaiah 24:13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. Isa 24:14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. Isa 24:15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. Isa 24:16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. Isa 24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. Isa 24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. Isa 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. Isa 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. Isa 24:22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. Isa 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. Notice the shaking of the olive tree, Israel, takes place in “the midst of the land among the people.” That means, Israel is a national entity when the treachery takes place. The righteous are those who have repented, love the L_RD, and love Israel, and sing songs of praise to the L_RD from among the nations. This includes both Jews and righteous Gentiles. This cry from among those who love the L_RD with all their hearts is being heard from among both Jews and many Christians, who take G_d’s revealed Word as eternal truth. But meanwhile, the treacherous are dealing out their treachery even while this upholding of the truth in praise and glory to the L_RD is going forth. The context here in Isaiah is not refering to ancient Israel, but rather refers to our time, because there were few righteous to glorify the L_RD in Israel in ancient times, ( that’s why the L_RD judged them,) and certainly far fewer among the other nations. The Word of the LORD had not gone out to all nations in ancient times, because Israel was disobedient to the L_RD at that time. But the Word of the L_RD has reached all nations in our time, and many glorify Him with singing from among all peoples. But, we must also notice the context describes conflict, likely excalating into world-wide war, where all nations will be involved. But the L_RD Himself will bring the victory, and will reign in mount Zion, before all the “ancients gloriously,” indicating there will be a great resurrection and ingathering when Messiah comes. There are two wars described in this passage in Isaiah chapter 14. The first conflict is described in verses 16-17. The second in verses 18-23. These come about primarily because of the treachery committed by Israel’s and the world’s leaders. It would appear Ariel Sharon and his henchmen have possibly ushered-in the treachery! But, the victory will be the L_RD’s!! No matter what transpires, keep your faith in the L_RD strong, because He has the last word!! Israel will be established forever, and ALL the Land of Covenant will be inhabited by the sons of Jacob! The time of Jacob’s Trouble may be on the horizon, but this time will also be short! The settlers will settle permanently in Yesha! Victory is assured, not because of man’s doings, but because the L_RD will bring it to pass! In light of the current situation in Israel, Isaiah chapter 14 is particularly interesting. Isaiah 14:29 “Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.” Isa 14:30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant. Isa 14:31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. Isa 14:32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it. Who is the serpent? He is described in this same chapter in verses 12-15 as being Lucifer, who fell from heaven, and came to weaken the nations because he has an ego problem. He has a plan and mission to exalt himself above G_d. Where does he choose to carry out this mission? Verses 13 and 14 of Isaiah 14 states, For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. He launches his planned take-over from a position of authority, headquartered from “the Mount of the congregation, ” with the ultimate goal to rise above the clouds, and above the Most High in Heaven. Where is the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north? It is the Temple Mount! Who occupies the Temple Mount? The Muslims! So what religious orientation will produce the one who obviously will be indwelt by Lucifer? Islam! He is the “cockatrice” who arises from the “serpent” and becomes powerful as “the fiery flying serpent.” He will have a very brief time of power, but will be defeated by the L_RD. Why does this personage choose the Temple Mount? He is trying to usurp the rule and reign of the rightful Ruler, and King of Israel, Messiah. And, he does not recognize the L_RD G_D of Israel!! He does not recognize the claim of the Jews to Mount Zion, but rather wishes to eliminate any recollection of the Jews having any claim to the Land, or to the Temple Mount, or to Jerusalem. Is this not the stance of the Muslims even now? The “treachery” is anyone in Israel giving any recognition to those who wish to perpetrate the diabolical plot, and in turning any portion of the Land over to such enemies! Ariel Sharon and his henchmen, both within Israel, and in concert with the international leaders, are on a very dangerous “Roadmap Plan!!” But, notice who is not to rejoice. “Palestina”. Who is “Palestina?” Palestine. Where, and what, is “Palestine?” ‘Palestine” is the name the Arabs have chosen to identify the region of the Middle East that the Arab Palestinians claim is theirs, and wish to wrest from Israel, from the People of the Covenant. So, it is the Palestinians who are not to rejoice! Why? To answer that question, back up to verse 1 of the Isaiah chapter 14. “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land.” Keep in mind the context of the passage, which is regarding the restoration of Jacob to the Land forever, so is not ancient in prophetic orientation, but describes the re-establishment of Israel as a nation in the time of the end, which speaks to our generation. It is how this restoration is to be accomplished that is prophetic for the period we now face. Isaiah indicated many people and nations, willingly, and unwillingly, will be involved in restoring the land of Israel to the Jews. This restoration of Israel has been, and continues to be, orchestrated by the L_RD Himself! In the course of the re-establishment of Israel as a nation, the opposition arises through a specific group of people who identify themselves with “Palestine.” These will believe they will have reason to rejoice, but just when they think their goals are achievable, the tables will turn! However, if we read carefully, we realize the restoration of Israel includes much conflict. Israel is embroiled in this prophetic period of conflict right now! Since the Word of the L_RD through Isaiah the prophet is telling the Palestinians not to rejoice, there must be situations which, in human terms, could possibly give them reason to rejoice, except that G_d will not let their goals be permanently realized! So, who is being “treacherous?” Ariel Sharon and his crew! Who is the enemy? The Palestinians and their allies. Who will win? The L_RD G_d of Israel! Take heart. Strengthen your faith! Planning a Stylish Low Budget Wedding

May 14th, 2008 by donnashuman

By Delilah Hatch Planning a low budget wedding? You don’t need to sacrifice style for those few extra dollars saved from your budget. If anyone understands the stress of planning a wedding it is me. They say some of the most stressful things you can do in life are planning a wedding and having a baby. I did both of those things all in the same year. In fact I was planning my wedding while I was pregnant. When my husband and I decided to get married we agreed to keep it simple. We weren’t really into the idea of a big elaborate ceremony. You know; the church, the expensive frilly dress, loads of flowers and the big reception party. So we were off to plan as simple a wedding as possible. We would stage a very simple ceremony with a justice of the peace. We would only invite our very closest of friends and family. We would not throw a huge party but simply make reservations for a semi quiet dinner at a nice restaurant. Well this is how we dreamed it would happen, and intended on it to happen, but it is not how it all went down. Once we got our parents involved it all went downhill from there. Word spread like wild fire throughout the families that we were getting married. The more that heard the news, the more people we were obligated to invite. Don’t get me wrong - it is not that we didn’t want them there but the more people invited the more money it would cost and we simply did not have it. A handful of guests turned into flying in cousins from seperate corners of the country. It basically turned into inviting the entire family! Soon there were no restaurants to fit the crowd of people we were to invite. And no small venue for the ceremony either. While I was busy endlessly searching for someplace nice (not to mention free) to stage the ceremony at, the family had started to take things into their own hands and start planning parts of the wedding for us. Before I knew it there were halls for the reception booked, cakes ordered, and a D.J. for the big party. OK so on one hand it was a nice thought to try and take some of the stress and pressure of planning this wedding off of me, but while they were helping to plan the wedding what they weren’t planning on was what all of this would cost! And boy oh boy does it cost! Caterers, bartenders, cake, dress, decorations just to name some! It all adds up fast. I’ll tell you at one point I was very close to calling it all off and eloping. Eventually every little detail did come together (after much agonizing) and the wedding went off without a hitch. It was absolutely beautiful and we had so much fun! I managed to pull it all off by cutting a few corners (and costs). I made my own decoration, centerpieces, and wedding invitations. I became a bargain shopper! One phrase to keep in mind - make it your mantra; keep it simple! Here’s a few ways I cut corners and dollars: * Where to hold the ceremony is one thing that could actually not cost you a dime! Search out a public garden or park. Lakes and beaches can be a good location also depending on the theme of your wedding. Keep in mind that some public places will require permission from the city or town. I held my ceremony in a gazebo at a public beach. I contacted the town hall and had to fill out papers for a permit to use the gazebo for the day. * Save money on flowers by holding the wedding at a garden. Another way to save on flowers would be to split the cost of flowers with another bride having their wedding on the same day. I lucked out on this as it just happened that there was a wedding earlier in the day on the same day as our wedding. They decorated the gazebo that morning. All we had to do was show up. * If you intend to have a Justice of the Peace marry you then make sure and hire someone from within the town you hold the ceremony in. Most charge a substantial amount less if they do not need to travel outside of town lines. * If you are going to rent a hall or venue for your reception ask around before you pick a place or even start looking. Chances are that you might know someone who knows someone who can help you out with a discount. My reception was held at a V.F.W hall. Just happened that a family member knew someone who worked there and gave us a deal! * Do some bargain shopping and come up with your own decorations for the reception. I wanted flowers arrangements for the centerpiece of every table, so I made them all myself. I bought vases candles and candle holders VERY CHEAP by shopping around. I then visited a flower shop. I talked to a sales girl and they were willing to give me a cheaper price since I was going to buy alot of the same flower. It was just like buying in bulk. They included baby’s breath and greens so I could make my own arrangements. The caterers were providing all of the linens so all I had to do was put my centerpieces together and place them on the tables. * Make your own invitations! I made all my own invitations, R.S.V.P. cards and printed little cards to fit into the inside with directions to the ceremony as well as the reception. For tips and instructions on how to make your own invitations without sacrificing style go to this site; do-it-yourself-invitations.com Follow these tips and hopefully you will have just as great a wedding as I did while keeping it well within your budget. Does Society Need a St. Bernard?

May 3rd, 2008 by donnashuman

By Robert Baird You all know the big dogs that carry rum to save Swiss or alpine skiers caught in a storm or some other trouble. That is not the St. Bernard I am contemplating but you might think this St. Bernard to be an even bigger dog once you get to know him. The intellectual and institutional evolution of these reform movements during the almost exactly one thousand years between Benedict of Nursia (who founded the monastery of Monte Cassino in about 529) and Martin Luther (who entered the monastery of the Augustinian Hermits at Erfurt in 1505) is a story of inestimable importance for the history of Europe and of the world. (13) Over and over, it was the primitive model of Christ as Monk, and of the monk as the imitator of the model, that animated these reform movements. There is in some ways a depressing repetition of pattern, as each monastic reform in its turn protests against decline and stagnation in the monasteries, sets up new administrative and disciplinary structures to reverse the downward trend, prevails for a century or two, and then proves itself vulnerable to the same tendencies of stagnation and decline. Benedict of Aniane in the Carolingian period; Odo of Cluny and the Cluniac reform movement a century or so later; about a century after that the monastic reformation that began at Citeaux, which through the powerful life and Christocentric thought of Saint Bernard spread the Cistercian message throughout Europe; then the friars of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in their new dedication to the renewal; and, in reaction to the Protestant Reformation and under the inspiration of an intensified Christ-mysticism in sixteenth-century Spain, the Society of Jesus. (14) How much is Pelikan aware of in regards to the Alumbrados, Hibernian (Cathar/Troubadour), Iona Druidic sell-out and other higher order intrigues within the Luciferian or Heliopolitan through line since Tuthmosis III? I have addressed these things in many ways in other books and this book is going to try to flesh some of it out in greater detail. But clearly the Reformation did not just happen when the anti-Semite Luther saw a problem with popery and the other trappings of power. His image of Christ as monk is similar to the far more disciplined Monastic Order of Iona or The Isle of Druids which had large operations in the area of Greece as well as Ireland where the likes of St. Columba were taught. Iona maintained this high discipline over four centuries at least and I would not be surprised if it was then co-opted into the Cistercian Order. But John Dominic Crossan points out that Christ was a Cynic and wore the garb of the Cynic. Still one can see the Cynic is like the Druid too. In all cases they are indeed more mystical. 13) From Jesus Through The Centuries, op. cit.{Jaroslav Pelikan of Yale}, pgs. 116-7 we have, The chapters The Religious Orders and Fringe Orders and Anti-Orders in Richard W.
